April is Alcohol Awareness Month The theme of Alcohol Awareness Month is "Give Children a Chance End Underage Drinking." The campaign encourages local communities to focus on underage drinking and find solutions that work. The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence is working with the Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol-Free to promote the month-long observance. Substance abuse organizations across the country are encouraged to hold events at their local communities to recognize Alcohol Awareness Month.
